International Avenue proudly welcomes the new business owners of “Salsa Restaurant,” to the community.
Since moving to Calgary from El Salvador seven years ago, owners Antonio Rodas and Karla Linares have seen huge changes and lots of opportunity for entrepreneurship. When they found out there was a chance to open their own authentic Latin American Restaurant along the vibrant International Avenue, they were thrilled. After weeks of renovations, a fresh, new restaurant was born on the Avenue.
“We wanted to bring our flavour to International Avenue, and make Salsa Restaurant a unique place in all of Calgary to go to for Latin American cuisine. Our ambience and our atmosphere, along with our friendly staff, will make you feel right at home,” says Karla.
Salsa, only the freshest and finest Latino ingredients are used for each meal. Some traditional dishes served are pupusas, ceviche, Colombian fried fish, and Bandeja Paisa Colombiana, which is surely unique in all of Calgary. The delicious, authentic, fresh-cooked food is sure to fulfill any craving for Latin American.
Karla is a huge soccer fan, and plans to make Salsa Restaurant a key spot to go to for any other local soccer enthusiasts in Calgary. Karla also runs a successful Latin American community website, “QPasa Calgary,” where she consistently connects the Latin community to the greater City of Calgary. With her community spirit and great attitude, we are very happy to have Karla and her staff join us on International Avenue.
