We kicked off our summer events with our Around the World in 35 Blocks Food Tour on June 6th. 26 people joined us for an afternoon of shopping, eating, and drinking at the local businesses of International Avenue. Special thanks to Mantiques, hdmona, Illchmann’s, La Tiendona, and Mimo for their involvement and contributions to our event.

As a result, we contributed to five individually deserving candidates to further help kick start their ideas.

We started the evening at 4pm with our Here & Now Café, a free gathering event where members of the community gathered together to discuss ideas relating to the past, present, and future of Greater Forest Lawn.

Shortly following, we played host to Forest Lawn in Story & Song, in part with the Chinook Country Historical Society’s Historic Calgary Week!
