Good Morning –
Despite the rain this week we’re still busy at work on the Avenue, and this weekend there will be a closure from 6 a.m. September 16 to 4 p.m. September 17 east of 17 Avenue and Hubalta Road for railroad crossing work.
Next week crews will be removing the roadway between 37 and 47 Streets S.E., installing catch basins on the south side of 17 Avenue S.E. between 31 and 36 Street and also removing the roadway on the south side of 38 Street S.E. and 17 Avenue S.E.
The weekend of September 22, 2017 crews will be flipping traffic to the south side of the Avenue between 47 Street S.E. and Hubalta road so we can start work on the north side of the street.
Don’t forget your favourite businesses on International Avenue are open during construction, so make sure to stop by. And if you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, the Calgary Fire Department will be having an open house a Doors Open YYC. Check out all the details here.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to make 17 Avenue a great space for everyone. For more details on the work happening over the next few weeks please see the attached update.
