Good morning –
Crews on International Avenue are wrapping things up and getting ready for winter shut down. We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the construction season this year.
This week crews will be doing clean up along the avenue including the pedestrian pathways, making sure temporary bus stop platforms are safe and accessible as we move into winter, placing the concrete barriers around the work zones, and reviewing the business access signage that’s in place. We’re working to put the concrete barriers as close to the work area as possible so that during the winter it will be safe for drivers, pedestrians and transit riders along the Avenue, and shouldn’t impact snow clearing during the Avenue over the winter.
Attached are some maps that show how the Avenue will look over the winter until we start construction again next spring. We’re committed to making sure pedestrians, commuters, and transit riders can get to where they’re going and will be out through the winter to keep an eye on conditions.
